The following Proposed 2008 District of Columbia Construction Code is scheduled to be published in the District of Columbia Register on July 11, 2008.

• Proposed 2008 DC Construction Code*

DCRA was guided in creating the proposed 2008 DC Construction Code by the District of Columbia Building Code Advisory Committee (BCAC), which is made up of a cross section of professionals who perform line-by-line assessments of the building codes, as they relate to the unique characteristics of the District of Columbia.

The committee also advises the Mayor and the District of Columbia government on building code matters under the guidelines of Mayor’s Order 89-257.
